AWE celebrates International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) 2017

Raising the profile and celebrating the achievements of women in engineering.

On International Women in Engineering Day, we partnered with Mediaplanet UK for the 2017 Women in STEM Campaign: raising the issue of diversity in STEM and how we can propel positive change within these industries. The campaign features insight from AWE, NASA, Royal Mail, E.ON and more. http://bit.ly/2tnlwm4  #WomenInSTEM

INWED is aimed at focusing attention on the great opportunities for women in engineering, at a time when it has never been more important to address the national engineering skills shortage.

Here, we are sharing stories from AWE employees who talk about their experiences about working in the engineering environment

Catriona, a graduate Warhead Engineer talks about her experience of women making great scientists and engineers. Read her case study here..

Amanda, a Knowledge Engineer, talks about how she followed her passion and interests, broke down stereotypes and found an exciting career in STEM. Read the case study from Amanda..
